The Shelby County Amateur Radio Club meets on the second and fourth Thursday nights of the month. Our new meeting location is 1449 Court PL, Pelham, AL 35124.

In addition to the in person meetings, we also meet over the Zoom software. We send out the link in every e-mail meeting reminder, use the "Sign up for SCARC e-mail updates" link below to sign up for our newsletter. You can also use the Contact Us at the bottom or our Slack group to get the link.

Visitors are always welcome!

You can usually catch someone on one of our two repeaters if you need talk-in.
146.980 MHz (PL 88.5) and 147.320 MHz (PL 88.5)

In addition one of our members also has a repeater on the western side of Jefferson County at 145.150 MHz (PL 156.7)

Upcoming Events

For our meetings, doors open at 6, we then have our business meeting from 6:30 to 7, and a presentation beginning at 7 pm and lasting about an hour. After the meeting a group generally goes out to a local restaurant for dinner (buy your own dinner of course). Everyone is welcome.

VE Testing

VE Testing is conducted by the ARA Group, and held the second Sunday of every month.

Doors open at 1:30 pm, with testing beginning at 2:00 pm.

The test fee is $15, please be aware the ARA Group can take cash or check, but is unable to take credit or debit cards.
