Shelby County Amateur Radio Club

The Shelby County Amateur Radio Club meets at 7:00 P.M. on the second and fourth Thursdays of each month. Our meeting location is in the American Red Cross offices, on Valleydale Road just EAST of the I-65 OVERPASS. The address is: 4524 Southlake Parkway - Suite #5 - Hoover/Pelham, AL 35244. ·(See Map HERE)· Be sure to tune in to 146.980 MHz for a dinner location and exact directions to the area where we will be meeting. Visitors are Always Welcome to join our group.

Items of interest to the BirmingHAM community

SCARC operates a VHF repeater on 146.980 Mhz (-600) located in the South Pelham area in Shelby County Alabama. A second repeater on 147.320 Mhz (+600) is located at Pinnacle Fire Tower in central Shelby County Alabama. Both repeaters are operated under the W4SHL Club license. Contact our Repeater Chairman for more information.

Shelby County A.R.E.S. and Net Information

Shelby County ARC supports the Shelby County Amateur Radio Emergency Service. The SCARES Net meets each Tuesday night
at 8:00 PM local time on the SCARC 146.98 Mhz repeater. For more information, check the SCARC Public Calendar.
