The Shelby County Amateur Radio Club meets at 7:00 P.M. on the second and fourth Thursdays of each month. Meetings are held at the Hoover Public Safety Center on Valleydale Road, near Hwy 31 in Hoover. Visitors are always welcome.

Current News:

Our meeting location is the Hoover Public Safety Center, inside the American Red Cross offices, on Valleydale Road near Highway 31 in Hoover. It is the old BellSouth warehouse, biggest building in the area so it's hard to miss. Enter through the right hand set of doors, then go to the left. Be sure to tune in to 146.980 for a dinner location and exact directions to the area we'll be meeting in.

SCARC operates a VHF repeater on 146.980 Mhz with input at minus 600 khz offset. The repeater is
located in the Dearing Downs area and is operated under the W4SHL club license. Contact repeater

S.C.A.R.E.S and Net Information

SCARC supports the Shelby County Amateur Radio Emergency Service . The SCARES net meets each Tuesday night
at 8:00 PM local time on the SCARC 146.98 Mhz repeater. For more information about the net contact net manager John D. Murphy
at the conclusion of a SCARC net, or via "Snail Mail" at the club PO Box.
