Summer Field Day 2024

June 22-23, 2024

Field Day is ham radio's open house. Every June, more than 40,000 hams throughout North America set up temporary transmitting stations in public places to demonstrate ham radio's science, skill and service to our communities and our nation. It combines public service, emergency preparedness, community outreach, and technical skills all in a single event. Field Day has been an annual event since 1933, and remains the most popular event in ham radio.

This year's operating class is still in planning. We always have a variety of stations, and will operate across as many bands as possible.

This year summer field day will be held at the Peavine Falls pavilion at Oak Mountain State Park. Oak Mountain's address is 200 Terrace Drive, Pelham AL 35124. Once in the park follow the signs to Peavine Falls.

We have permission to stay after hours, so you won't have to leave at sundown as park visitors normally would. More details will be added to this page as our plans progress.

More information about Field Day, including complete operating rules, is available at http://www.arrl.org/field-day.
